La ruta, molt ben senyalitzada, comença a la Font Terrers (a 1.630 metres amb aparcament, taules de pícnic i barbacoa). Només cal seguir els senyals que, a més, s’acompanyen de plafons informatius de les característiques principals d’aquest ocell. És una curta volta circular de 2 quilòmetres, sense problemes tècnics i amb un desnivell acumulat d’uns 150 metres. Al punt més alt de l’excursió, el Castell de Termes (1.778 metres) tindrem bones vistes al Cadí, Pedraforca, Gallina Pelada i al poble i el castell de Gósol.
